Founded in 1918, the American Council on Education (ACE) is the nation's unifying voice for higher education. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching

Founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1905 and chartered in 1906 by an act of Congress, The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching is an independent policy and research center with a primary mission "to do and perform all things necessary to encourage, uphold, and dignify the profession of the teacher and the cause of higher education."

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) was established in 1976 as a non-partisan, non-profit, public policy, research and educational institute. Our mission is to serve as the non-partisan policy-oriented catalyst that educates future leaders and promotes collaboration among legislators, business leaders, minority-focused organizational leaders, and organized labor to effect positive and sustainable change in the African American community. Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies

Lumina Foundation

Lumina Foundation for Education, an Indianapolis-based, private, independent foundation, strives to help people achieve their potential by expanding access and success in education beyond high school. NAACP

National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE)

The Secretary of Education's Commission on the Future of Higher Education

The purpose of this Commission is to consider how best to improve our system of higher education, to ensure that our graduates are well prepared to meet our future workforce needs and are able to participate fully in the changing economy. To accomplish this purpose, the Commission shall consider Federal, State, local, and institutional roles in higher education and analyze whether the current goals of higher education are appropriate and achievable.

WSC builds responsive systems for education, training, workforce and economic development in over twenty states to increase the competitiveness of the American economy. It disseminates innovative workforce strategies, providing technical assistance and professional development to policy makers, educators, and industry leaders.
